Question by Salvation: nu.cyu.ler dis.truk.on GOP 2012: Is it possible to buy a data-ONLY cell plan from a service provider?
The purpose is to use the phone as an internet tablet for messaging and checking messages, since I don’t make many calls anyway, but also use a VoIP application over such a data plan when I do wish to make a call. Using VoIP over a data plan could overall save money, but that was an afterthought in my case albeit an attractive notion.
I’ve heard AT&T is offering a 20$ prepaid data plan, but as it’s ending in November I need to consider other options.

Answer by Andrew K yes certain carriers do offer data only plans for certain cell phones. I know verizon does for all there blackberries and PDA style phones
Email : biz@smart-bridge.net www.smart-bridge.net Many VOIP termination providers are available in today’s ever-expanding market offering these services. Their main task is to take calls from off the Internet and to deliver them to regular phones, technically referred to as PSTN. By use of a call detail record, such a service provider is therefore able to calculate costs accrued by various clients. Many seek VoIP opportunities to become a termination provider because of the low investment and high rewards associated with this line of business.

Question by Scorcher117: Is there a free voip provider for my computer?
i do know that free can be very rarely found, but i was just wondering. Is there something similar to skype, that can make landline and mobile calling for free? I want it to make calls from my computer and was looking for a service that can do it for free without many strings. I tried VoipCheap, and read up and found that you can only make calls one minute long or you will be charged, and i mean, I want to avoid strings like that so….any help?
talkster doesnt seem to able to make landline or mobile calls, and thats what i want
