Just wanted to do a little comparison, I had both of them and I think Landline sounds clearer, and it works when the power goes out. Then there's VOIP which saves you a lot of money and gives you all the calling features, but the sound quality isn't as clear as landline. Also VOIP will not work when the power goes out. Overall, which is considered to be more reliable?
I have an 800 number, local number and fax number through a VOIP provider (RingCentral). To send a fax I have to scan each page and then attach each page to send it. I want to buy an all in one printer that has fax capabilities so I can fax all pages at once without having to scan each page. Is it possible to buy an all in one printer and have it work like a traditional fax machine but through VOIP services instead of a land line?
My family is moving in Mid-February and therefore all calls we will need to make will be long distance. We don't have a cell phone, or want one, and VoIL seems like a good option.
What are the negatives of having VoIL as a primary phone line besides no reliant 911 service? Who is the best VoIL provider? Is there free voicemail with VoIL?
I have a Straight Talk Samsung R451c phone, and I've tried calling it from my Magic Jack phone, and my iPod Touch VOIP app, and when I do, I just hear three beeps and then silence. Does Straight Talk block VOIP calls? Is there a way to make it work?

My company is thinking to switch to a new phone provider that uses VOIP technology. It's voice + data so conversations, they claim, are very clear. Does anybody have any knowledge of this?
It's similar to Vonage, but I gues it's more high quality?
My husband is stationed in Korea (camp carroll). Can anyone recommend a good VOIP provider? The local korean internet service offered is expensive and does not include phone service. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!
