  1. Nate…sorry about your poor comprehension skills. If you actually watch the video…When connecting your voip router… it connects the same way on both a cable OR a dsl modem.

  2. I refuse to listen to anyone who labels that a “DSL” modem. That big fat black tv cable there is called coaxial, which is used for people who have a CABLE MODEM.

  3. connect the ethernet port of the ATA router to the LAN side of the wireless router not the internet otherwise you will be Double-NATting which is bad after all you want it to function just as a Wireless Access Point as routing is already done by the linksys ata router

Do I need to buy a VOIP router for my home phone to use a VOIP service ? Or can I buy a VOIP adapter or home phone ?

  5. can i make free phonecalls?

  6. Lynne,

The VoIP router used in this particular video is an RT31P2-NA…but you could do the same with a SPA2102 or other VoIP ATA/Routers. Hope that helps.

  7. what is the model of the router? thanks ^_^

  8. Petersaadtube - Yes you do have to have a provider for VoIP to work. If you don’t have one, Mconnect’s a great choice.

  9. Nice Video!! it is very simple to set up VoIP, Wish more people knew about it!!! :-)
