  1. If your electricity goes out you don’t have a phone.

    Good Luck

  2. It would be voice over data. which is what VoIP means.
VoIP works by converting the voice to data packets and sending across the internet. They are decoded and then the sound is reconstructed on the other end.
Generally speaking it is a reliable communication.

I use Vonage…and yep…if you loose power or internet access…you’re pretty much SOL…but…it’s so cheap (as am I), I just love it, the phone quality is great, the free long distance is great…and my phone number isn’t in any bleedin’ phone books! Whoo-Hooo! And Dee’s lasagna sucks man….mine is so much better.

  6. Hey Jimbo, I know about this. My company just went with VoIP. The only problem we seem to have is if someone calls you from a cell phone sometimes cuts in and out. People also sound “far away” but not all of the time. The VoIP phones we got have caller ID and tons of rings to choose from. You can also delete the message from your email before you even have to listen to it (I am guilty of this.) It will save your company a ton of money too, but I doubt they will pass the benefits on to the employees.. Most companies do not. The rich get richer. :)
