What steps should I take to swich from the defunct SunRocket?

I want to switch to another VOIP provider after SunRocket went out of business. I want to keep my same phone number and get my money back. I am going to do a credit card charge back on SunRocket. Has anyone had any success getting money back or porting their number? What steps did you take?

  2. You should have received an E-mail from SunRocket by now. It mentions two preferred VoIP providers:

    Packet8
    http://getpacket8.packet8.net/sunrocket/

    TeleBlend
    http://www.myteleblend.net

    Both services should be able to transfer your number more easily and faster than other phone services right now. Others are required to go through porting your number, which could take weeks to complete.

    I would advise choosing one of the preferred services, subscribe to a month-to-month plan and give you some time to review other providers for a permanent phone service.
